SEG: Crucial Roles of Geophysics in Providing Decarbonisation with Energy Security and Affordability in the Southeast Asia Region
The transition to cleaner energy is a critical global effort to decarbonise. While energy transition can be in many forms, replacing coal with gas is the first major step of decarbonisation without sacrificing energy security and affordability for the Southeast Asia region. The development of gas fields can also be conducted with carbon capture and storage (CCS). This presentation will go through crucial role of geophysics in gas field development with CCS especially surface and borehole seismic acquisition, processing, and characterisation.
